June is almost half over!! Time, time, time - where does it go? We
still have lots of fun classes scheduled for the remainder of the month.
Wednesday, June 16th: Wool Crazy Ladies (12:30 to 4:30). Come by and stitch with us! We share so much more than just stitches.
Thursday, June 17th: Jo's Club (10 to 1). Pat will be heading this
group this week. I have a Shop Hop meeting to attend. Have fun! Thank
you, Pat! Don't forget the Bee Outfit!
Friday, June 18th: Sew In Day (all day). Don't forget that you can come
in and sew all day on a project from home for just $5.00. Bring your
lunch and maybe you will be able to cross off an unfinished project
from your list.
Saturday, June 19th: Maria has classes (all day). Toni Baloney has two basic students.
Sunday, June 20th: HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!!
Monday, June 21st: First day of summer! Grab a glass of lemonade, put a Nora Jones CD on and do some handwork on your patio.
Tuesday, June 22nd: Bernina Class (all day). Dian is teaching how to
use different needles, attachments and settings on your Bernina. This
class is full, but we are taking names for anyone interested in having
us set up a second class. Let us know! We have a book that shows the
techniques she is teaching. Stop in and look it over.
Thursday, June 24th (all day). Dian's Apron Class. This class is full.
Friday, June 25th (all day). Sew Your Seeds Needle Keeper Class. Cindy
taught this class the other day and everyone had a great time making
this charming Sue Spargo project out of wool and velvet, and beads, Oh
My!! Two openings left in this class.
Cost of class is $22.00/ Kit price is $35.00.
Saturday, June 26th:
Jo's Club (12 to 3). I will be here for this club meeting. Look forward to seeing all of you!
Mystery Quilt (4pm to midnight). Fun, fun, fun! Martha Robinson is
heading this class. You will need 5 one yard pieces of coordinating
fabrics and your machine and basic sewing kit. You also need to bring
one covered dish---doesn't matter what it is you bring. This is a
doable quilt for the amount of time allowed. It will be nice to finish
something by the time you go home to your "cama". Cost of class is
$25.00.
Wednesday, June 30th:
Sue Spargo Early Bird Class: Come and make some little hanging birds
using wool and beads. These birds make wonderful little gifts or
ornaments. Add a pocket and it would make a great tooth fairy pillow!
Class will be from 10-12 am and class fee is $10.00/ Pattern is $8.00
and each kit will be $7.50. They are irresistibly cute!
The French Quarter fabric from Marcus Brothers has started arriving. It
is a beautiful line. Come by and see it if you can. More will be in
soon.
Irene asked me to announce she will be teaching the Hispanic Bag Class
on July 3rd and July 10th. This is the Party Tote pattern and she is
using the "Folklorica" fabric we had in the shop during Shop Hop. Pre
made kits will be provided. Choices are the pony, the cat, the bird or
the fox. Class limit is 4. Class is $20.00 and $25.00 for the kit.
This is the most popular bag in the shop!!
Speaking of bags and patterns, I just ordered some great, new patterns
from Indygo Junction for bags, vests, stitchery, etc., along with many
other fun things. These should be in about Wednesday.
I hope you have checked our blog by now. I am on my second blog and I was able to figure out some new options.
